Replica 2001/02 Patrick Home Shirt
March 2002, our time in the second tier is running out and the earliest post-war Football League relegation confirmed. A season characterised by thumping defeats, winless streaks and a carousel of single-appearance players. But despite all that, this shirt will always be remembered thanks to one game. Champions-elect Manchester City arrived at EP needing a couple more points to secure promotion and were on track with less than 5 minutes to go. Then up stepped John Hardiker with two late goals to spark bedlam in SK3 and give us the most unlikely of victories.
One of our nicest kits in living memory, this Patrick shirt is a proper deep royal blue. Size XL.
I'll be honest, this has seen better days. The fabric is sound, a couple of minor nicks but nothing major. The Patrick logo is heavily worn, please see pics. The shirt has also been signed on the shoulders and there's a bit of red dye on the sponsor. I suspect the signatures will easily wash away but didn't want to subject the Patrick logo to any more abuse in the washer.
With a bit of TLC this could be great but the price reflects the condition.
A superb shirt worn during a couple of the most mental minutes Edgeley Park has ever seen.
